Just wanted to let you know what an amazing time my wife and I had this weekend.
The pictures online don't do the hotel justice - it's gorgeous down to every detail.
We are highly recommending your hotel to everyone we know.
The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the location was refreshingly peaceful.
The dinner we had on Saturday night was spectacular. My wife loved it so much that she went to the kitchen and gave Tim a kiss.
Everyone on the staff was fantastic, particularly John (at dinner) and Heidi (at breakfast), and they all deserve a huge raise!
Also, a special thanks to you for answering my plethora of daily questions and making sure that everything was arranged to make our wedding anniversary perfect.
We're looking forward to and have started planning for our next visit.
We'll definitely be back to enjoy dinner there again very soon.
Thanks again (we really can't thank you enough),

Today is our 30th wedding anniversary-last night we spent an exquisite evening here. The room is superb, the service impeccable. A fire was lit for us which brought a very cozy touch to our wonderful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire time here. We hope a lot of people don’t find out about this place-it is definitely one of Williamsburg’s hidden treasures! Thank you, God Bless

We had a very nice experience during our stay. We enjoyed the nice peaceful, non-commercialized, home-like surroundings. We also enjoyed the Historic feel of our room & the whole Wedmore Place. I enjoyed my morning walks up the pebbled path, listening to all the different types of birds, seeing the rabbits, squirrels, & a baby deer, & my night walks leading to the sunsets. It was well worth the drive down the winding road every night, cause it felt like it was leading us home to our dream home Estate & the staff was like family welcoming us back home every night. Would love to come back. Don’t want to go back to NJ & all the stress, traffic, & reality.

A word of caution: if you read this before your first night’s stay then we caught you just in time! If you came to Williamsburg to see the area attractions then Do Not Lay Down in the Bed, Eat at the Café or Tavern, Taste the Wine, or Meet the Friendly Staff. All of the above will not only cause you to forget the reason you came but will make you wish you didn’t have to leave! The rooms are clean and beautiful and the staff are exemplary. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
"Wonderful Birthday Experience"
thanks for making my wife's birthday dinner a wonderful experience last Sunday evening. We greatly enjoyed our meal, the wine and especially the service from Martin. He timed the meal very well, was attentive to us but not overbearing and a knowledgeable server. The Café Provençal a lovely spot for dinner, the food was remarkable and while fancy, certainly not overdone. We really enjoyed the background music played from the MP-3 player. It was very relaxing and helped set the tone. And, I appreciate you taking care of her flowers as well. Again, thanks for a lovely evening and give our best to John, at the front desk, who was very friendly and warm on the several occasions we have talked with him.
"Great European Charm"
West Palm Beach, FL
I chose the Wedmore Place in Williamsburg to get a real feel for the area. Didn't want a "Holiday Inn" experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms luxurious, and the adjacent winery delightful. The fireplace gave it that old world feel, and the decor was elegant. Kudos to my travel agent for recommending this gem in Williamsburg.
what a nice experience, the room was beautiful. beautifully decorated and quite quaint. you will not find a place like this on the peninsula-trust me i know i live there. the place is new and cant wait to see it in the spring and summer. staff treated me well and my friend. felt like i was a family member. do not judge it because it is brand new. the place has incredible potential. check it out for yourself. my friend who has been in europe for many years said it reminded her of many of the lovely places she had stayed.
We stayed at Wedmore Place for
one night in March 2008. It is adjacent to the
which has a tavern, a retail shop and wine tasting
tours available. The facade of the inn is unassuming,
as is the lobby. It is intended to be, and is,
reminiscent of a European country hotel. We had
three rooms, two suites and a third room that
connected to one of the suites. each room was
beautifully done. Every room is decorated with
original art, antiques and oriental rugs. Each
room also has a real, wood burning fireplace.
The place is brand new, so everything is completely
immaculate. The bathrooms were each different,
too. Each bathroom we had included a deep bathtub
(one had a jacuzzi tub that would fit four people)
and a separate shower. We had booked the Venetian
suite for my mom, but is was so opulent she would
not stay there (which is saying something). It
was gorgeous -- it had a 20 foot ceiling in the
living room with gilt tiles, two bathrooms and
some amazing paintings -- but she was happier
in Room #5, which was a smaller suite. We had
dinner at the Inn, and a nice continental breakfast
in the morning. (The pastry dough for your morning
croissant is flown in from Europe.)
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful,
including the owner who came by our dinner table
to wish us well, and to advise he had made the
complimentary chestnut ice cream we enjoyed for
I would highly recommend the inn to celebrate
a special occasion or as a very nice place to
stay while your are visiting Williamsburg. There
were also some great meeting rooms and other
spaces available that would be wonderful for
a small wedding or conference.
"Never wanted to go home”
My husband and I visit Williamsburg
every year for the past 5 years. This was our
and we wanted to stay at this hotel because we
heard about it being built the year before.
When I booked, I requested a special wine and
cheese tray in our room on arrival. And it was
there, the staff was friendly, and very attentive
to the needs of the guest. One night we got back
late, I was hungry and the kitchen was closed.
But later the chef personal delivered a tray
of food to our room. This hotel takes the level
of customer care to the extreme. Those comments
about the rooms and appearance. They have amazing
rooms, bathrooms are awesome and you feel like
you are queen or king. Yes there are some flaws
but it is a new hotel, no ones new home is perfect.
We are going back down in June, because we want
to enjoy this hotel again, and because the pool
area looked amazing. We didn't want to go home,
we have tempted to stay longer but we had to
go back to reality. I would recommend this hotel
to all of my friends...
I found my new hotel when we go back down in
the years to come.
"Like Being in Italy”
My wife and I stayed recently at the property
and were fortunate enough to have the Tuscany
suite. We were reminded of our travels through
Italy a number of years ago. The property is
beautiful and the staff took excellent care
of us. We plan to return with friends soon!
